The documentary film "Alaska Far Away" will be shown in the Ranier Community Building at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

"Alaska Far Away" tells the story of a group of colonists from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan who entered in a New Deal program that relocated them to the Alaskan wilderness after World War II. A pair of brothers and their wives from International Falls are featured in the program.

The film was brought to Ranier by the Koochiching Historical Society.
