Linda and Gary Skime, International Falls, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Beth Skime to Christopher Lewis Stone, son of Dr. Ben and Vicki Stone, also of International Falls.
The couple met in Alaska, but both grew up in International Falls and are graduates of Falls High School.
The future bride received a master of science degree in experiential education from Minnesota State Mankato and works as a special education teacher for the Anchorage School District.
Her fiance received a master of science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is employed as an engineer at British Petroleum in Anchorage.
A July 2012 wedding is planned in Hayward, Wis. The couple will live in Alaska.
