Lindberg, Wagner exchange vows at Rainy Lake home

Rita Lindberg, daughter of Steven and Lori Lindberg of Ray, and Andy Wagner, son of Curt and Jane Wagner of International Falls, were united in marriage Aug. 16, 2008. Pete Hemstad served as the officiant.

The setting for the late afternoon ceremony was in the front yard of the couple’s home on Tilson Bay on Rainy Lake. The ceremony was performed on a lakeside deck under an arbor laced with a floral garland.

The bride appeared in a floor length Pronovias Dango gown and was escorted down a rock path by her father.

Kailey Polus, friend of the bride served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Hedlund, friend of the bride and Kristy Wagner-Werner, sister of the groom.

The groom’s best man was Brian Heinlen, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Kirk Lindberg, brother of the bride and Steven Werner, brother-in-law of the groom.

Katie Taylor and Nick Lagen, friends of the couple, served as ushers. Emily Werner, friend of the couple, offered programs to wedding guests. Joni Ost, aunt of the bride, recited a wedding poem during the ceremony. Jessie Herges, friend of the bride, was the vocalist.

Janet and Boxer Wagner, aunt and uncle of the groom, served as host couple.

Following the ceremony the wedding party cruised Rainy Lake on wedding host and captain Boxer Wagner’s pontoon boat. They made a stop at Sha~Sha before reaching their final destination at Thunderbird Lodge, the site of a dinner reception and dance.

Following the wedding, the couple spent a few days enjoying Rainy Lake.

They will be taking a honeymoon trip to The Bahamas the end of February.
