World War II veterans
Three World War II veterans from Borderland will take part in the Honor Flight Northland May 15, when they will travel to Washington, D.C. Front row, from the left, are veterans Tom Barthell, Bill Howard and Roy Janssen. Back row, Kathy Sikkila, Koochiching County veterans service officer, who will also make the trip as a guardian, and Terry Randolph, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 commander. Veteran Ray Thorpe will also participate.
