SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #362
May 30, 2012
   The May 30, 2012 regular meeting of the School Board was called to order by Chair Keith Knaeble at 7:00 p.m. with all members present except: Lepisto
    Student of the Month: Jr. High Karly S; Sr. High Chantel B.
The Board also recognized : The School receiving high scores in testing, Jump for Heart, Track and Field Day, Our Softball Team, Prom and Graduation.
   Motion by Franz, seconded by Mike, and carried unanimously to approve the agenda. Addition Cement work.
   Correspondence: Thank you from St. Columban’s for busing to Release Time.
   Public Forum: N/A
   Motion by Franz, seconded by Imhof, and carried unanimously to approve the minutes
 of the April 18, 2012 regular meeting.
   Motion by Nelson, seconded by Franz, and carried unanimously to approve the invoices in the amount of 223,085.08.
   Motion by Nelson, seconded by Imhof, and carried unanimously to approve the
 Treasurer’s Report.
   Motion by Franz, seconded by Nelson, and carried unanimously to approve the Consent
 Agenda:
   A. MSHSL Membership
   B. Health and Safety Plan
   C. Summer Band: Aron Bohnert- Hire
   D. June Board Meeting: 6/27/12
   Motion by Gray, seconded by Nelson, and carried unanimously to join Koochiching Family Collaborative for 2012/2013.  Â
     Motion by Franz, seconded by Imhof, and carried unanimously to call for bids for Bread, Propane and Fuel.
   Motion by Nelson, seconded by Franz, and carried unanimously to continue with the One Day Bond.
   Motion by Franz, seconded by Nelson, and carried unanimously to post for Principal (A.D./DAC) and Fulltime Social Studies position.
   Reports:
   A. Policy- 1st Reading of Policy Manual
   B. Transportation- Purchase a bus and van for 2012/2013 School Year. Using the State bidding process.
   C. Curriculum- 10th-12th Business, MCA Math, Science
Motion by Franz, seconded by Nelson, and carried unanimously for Hiring The Cement Guy to do sidewalks, van garage and trench in front of garage and install drain. Costs $21,762 and $9,100.
   Motion by Nelson, seconded by Franz, and carried unanimously to adjourn at 7:57 o’clock.
