Chester “Chet” Lloyd Clark, age 73, of Park Rapids, Minn., formerly of Savage, Minn., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018.
He was born Aug. 2, 1945.
Chet was a United States Army veteran.
He enjoyed cooking and baking and after retirement he enjoyed woodworking and making toys for Toys for Tots.
Chet came north to hunt and fish with his brother Clint when he could, and was always ready to play cribbage with whoever would play.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Sandy (Tim) Thompson, Missy (Dave) Trench, Christina Clark and Matt (Julia) Clark; grandchildren — Whitny, Cohl, Gaige, Cortney, Mason, Chloe, Jayden and Nolen; five great-grandchildren; siblings — sisters, Lois Adee and Audrey Scholler of International Falls, Minn., and Karen Patterson of Winthrop, Wash.; brothers, Clinton Clark of Littlefork, Minn., Lynn Stenberg of International Falls, Dennis Clark of Oakland, Calif., and Randy Clark of Paso Robles, Calif.; many other family and friends; and his dog, “Shylo.”
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence (Helmer) Stenberg; father, Beldon Clark; stepfather, Edgar Stenberg; sister-in-law, Darlene Clark; and brothers-in-law, John Adee and Vernon Scholler.
He was kind-hearted and a jokester who always wanted to make sure everyone around him was happy.
He will be missed by many.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave. South, Bloomington, Minn.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service.
Interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Gill Brothers Funeral Home, Bloomington, was in charge of arrangements.
