Francis Alvin Hall, known to many as “Grandpa,” 80, of International Falls, Minn., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society-International Falls, surrounded by his loving family.

Francis was born to Melvin and Esther (Malone) Hall on March 18, 1937, in Frontier, Minn.

Francis loved working with his hands and kept busy with upholstering furniture, sewing, making fly fishing lures and woodworking projects.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and especially enjoyed sharing his love for his projects whether it be wood or mechanical.

During his last couple years, Grandpa enjoyed tea time with the many special people that became close to him at Good Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Duane Hall and Melvin Hall; and infant son, Jeffrey.
