Jay Parmeter, 61, of International Falls, Minn., passed away at home Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, after a long battle with alcoholism.
Known for his kindness, humor and love of cooking, Jay was a special guy.
His family would like him to be remembered for being an enthusiastic supporter, playful troublemaker, and for his will to feed any and every one.
In Jay’s words, “I’m the principal’s son. ‘Nuff said.”
While he won’t be able to help out at Rainy Lake fishing tournaments in person in the future, you can bet he will be there in spirit.
Jay’s brothers, Brian Parmeter and Scott Parmeter; his sister, Jill Christie and family; daughters, Zoe Parmeter and Hatie Parmeter; and his dad, Dave Parmeter, are thankful for the outpouring of love and support.
Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; mother, Connie; and brother, John.
A memorial luncheon will be conducted from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Almost Lindy’s.
