Joel Fiedler

Joel “Joely” Constantine Fiedler, 83, of Littlefork, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, Minn.

He was born Dec. 23, 1934, at St. Joseph, Minn., to Constantine and Marie (Danzl) Fiedler.

Joel did not finish school.

He liked the outdoors and tinkering on his tractors.

He worked on the farm while his dad worked in a logging camp.

He also worked for Boise Cascade in the Insulite Division until it shut down. He then worked for Bildrite.

He farmed when he wasn’t working. He raised cattle, pigs and he had mules for a time.

He never married or had children but he enjoyed his nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed watching and following Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings sports like volleyball, football and basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elaine, Patricia “Pat” and Gladys "Jackie”; and brother, Walter.

Survivors include a sister, Alice (Elywin) Siltman; nieces and nephews, Kelly Langton, Kevin Williamson, Lindsey Langton, Dannette Harmeson, Constance Johnson, Casey (Renee) Williamson, Crystal (Jim) Gullickson, LoaAnn Williamson, Bobbi (Nick) Sivonen, DeLaina Siltman, BerLanda Siltman and Elywin Siltman. Also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends, Sam Siyed, Jim, Jessie, and Joe Jessop, Tom Lucca and special great-niece Tina Kerry and great-nephews, Stephen Antin and Joe Kerry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Littlefork Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Interment will be at Oakley Cemetery, Littlefork.
