Judy Tamara Isakson, 68, of International Falls, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at the Littlefork Nursing Home.
Judy was born on Feb. 12, 1946 in Malone, N.Y., and soon moved to Balston Spa, N.Y. In 1961, she moved to Round Lake, N.Y. In 2000, Judy moved to International Falls and remained there.
She was united in marriage to Ivan Isakson on Oct. 15, 1972 in Round Lake, N.Y.
Judy was an LPN at Pine View Recovery and the Littlefork Care Center. She was a missionary in Russia, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Littlefork Baptist Church. Some of her favorite activities included fishing, gardening, card playing, and traveling. She loved raising her children and loved to joke.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmira V. Rivers and Hoard W. Rivers; brother, Daniel Rivers.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Robert Loyal Howard Caswell of International Falls, Lee Isakson of New York, Joey Isakson of Florida; daughters, April Love Rivers of Colorado, Tara Lee Buller of International Falls, Tammy Isakson of Louisiana, and Sandie Isakson of Kentucky; brothers, Bruce Rivers of New York; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, followed by a 10 a.m. memorial service at the Littlefork Baptist Church.
