June Kirvan

With profound sadness we announce the passing of June, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at St Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minn., surrounded by loved ones. She was 76 years old.

June is survived by her beloved children, Robert Scholler, Suzanne (Joe) Best and Jennifer Scholler; granddaughter, Mariah (Peyton) Cloke; great-grandson, Jimmy; sister-in-law, Vickie Kirvan; nephews, Scott and Chad Kirvan; and niece, Lisa Kirvan, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cy and Gladys Kirvan; and her brother, Eugene Kirvan.

She graduated Falls High School in 1960 with honors as the top 20 in her class.

June had an enormous sense of community and school pride volunteering where and whenever needed.

June’s work ethic was superior and prided herself on it.

In her early years she worked at Mando paper mill and Family Services.

She moved to Germany as an Army wife from 1969 to 1971, working at the European Stars and Stripes in Germany.

She took over ownership of her dad’s trucking company, running it for 30 years.

June loved to square dance and was the FHS majorette advisor for 12 years and cheerleader advisor for two years.

She will be remembered as a kind thoughtful person, generous and loyal, beautiful inside and out. She loved to love on people and would give them the shirt off her back.

June was a dedicated mother first and foremost. No one loved and treasured her children more than June and no one was more proud of her children than her.

She was an earthly angel to everyone who knew her and she will be deeply missed because to know her was to love her.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Green-Larsen Mortuary, International Falls, Minn., with visitation one hour prior.

If so desired, memorials would be preferred in June’s memory to Friends Against Abuse, 407 Fourth St., International Falls, MN 56649.
