Kevin Andrew Korpi, 55, of International Falls, Minn., died Sunday, June 30, 2019, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1964, in International Falls, where he grew up and attended school.
Kevin was baptized and attended Sunday school at Zion Lutheran Church.
He was united in marriage to Raquel Frank on April 3, 2000. The couple had three children together — Cheyenne, Savannah and Zackory.
Kevin worked mainly in construction jobs for blacktop paving companies locally and in southern Minnesota.
He was a kind and giving person, he would help anyone in need.
Kevin loved spending time with and cooking for his family, fishing, camping, watching old movies, hunting, listening to music, gardening, blueberry picking, trapping, barbeques, swimming, and he also loved going to garage sales, and trips to the casino.
He was proud of his children, and recently welcomed his new grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Runo Korpi; sister, Tina Korpi; maternal grandparents, Palmer and Marian Helgeson; paternal grandparents, William and Olga Korpi; mother-in-law, Pearl Hooker; and father-in-law, Richard Frank.
Survivors include his estranged wife and friend, Raquel Korpi; son, Zackory Korpi; daughters, Cheyenne Korpi and Savannah Korpi; grandson, Laine Korpi; mother, Elsie Korpi; brothers, Kent (Mary) Korpi and Colin (Toni) Korpi; sisters, Rhonda Korpi and Kathy (Warren) Korpi; special uncle, Palmer Helgeson; his long-time friend, Roy Olson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and furry best friend, Barney.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 8, at Ranier Community Building.
