Larry Richard Sjoblom Jr., 48, of Duluth, Minn., and formerly of International Falls, Minn., died Tuesday, June 11, 2019, in Duluth.
Larry was born Feb. 13, 1971, in Frankfurt, Germany.
He graduated from Falls High School in 1991 and moved to Fargo, working for Marvin Windows. In 2010, he moved to Duluth.
The very most important characteristic Larry Jr. displayed was his love for his family. He accepted everyone as they were and welcomed anyone new to his Sjoblom family with open arms. They would instantly become HIS new Gramma. HIS brothers. HIS sisters. And HIS cousins!
His number one favorite sport and hobby was going to stock car races all over Minnesota and he never missed the “Motorhead Madness” at the DECC in Duluth. He would endlessly watch sports on TV. Wrestling, football, baseball, and was a big fan of the “Husky’s” baseball team.
He loved to talk! If you would listen, he could talk your ear off! He will be sadly missed by his family!
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Lloyd; and grandparents, Sigurd and Lillian Sjoblom.
He is survived by his father, Larry (Val) Sjoblom Sr.; brothers, Eric Sjoblom and Ryan Braford; and sister, Dawn Lovad.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at First Baptist Church.
Interment will be at Ericsburg Cemetery, Ericsburg, Minn.
