Linda Lou (Heibel) Phaklides, age 76, passed away after courageously battling an incurable disease on Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Jacksonville, Fla.
She was born July 10, 1942, in International Falls, Minn., to Mildred and Leonard Heibel.
Linda made everyone she met feel loved and was loved by everyone. Intelligent and clever, she brought joy to everywhere she worked, whether Hallmark, Disney Cruises, Honeywell, or the Petunia Patch.
Known for being joyful, graceful, and beautiful inside and out, she cherished her friendships and loved making new memories with everyone.
Linda grew up in the “Icebox of the Nation,” enjoyed performing in plays at Falls High School, went to Girls State, and attended classes at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities.
She moved to California, where her two children were born, moved back to Minnesota, then later to Texas, Wisconsin and, finally, Florida.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bob P.; daughter, Lisa Lynn and son-in-law, Khalil B.; son, James Joseph and daughter-in-law, Allison I.; and grandchildren, Josef, Rebecca, Taylor, Jacob, Elizabeth and Jefry.
Family and friends will miss her dearly, remembering her smile, her charm, her pure and unselfish love, and thanking God til the end of their days for having gotten to know Linda.
Per Linda’s request, the American Legion Post 129 in Jacksonville sponsored a beautiful Celebration of Life event on Sunday, May 5.
