Scott Leroy Maish, 42, of Dominion City, Manitoba, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Health Science Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Scott was born to Ione Boyd and Donnie Maish on Nov. 24, 1976, in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Scott enjoyed spending time with his four children - Logan, Haylee, Brayden and Drew. He was always so proud of his children and would tell you about them in almost every conversation you had with him.
Scott also loved to fish and root for his favorite hockey team, the Minnesota Wild, while living in Canada.
Scott was the ultimate prankster; he loved making people laugh and smile. It was a gift that came very easy to Scott.
Scott worked as a healthcare aide at the Altona Hospital in Manitoba, where he enjoyed working with the elderly. They couldn’t wait to see him every day.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby and Julius Christianson and Bill and Charlotte Maish; and his son, Ryan Scott Maish.
He is survived by his children, Logan Maish, Haylee Maish, Brayden Maish and Drew Maish; parents, Ione Boyd and Donnie (Charleen) Maish; and brothers, Jeff (Becky) Maish, Wayne (Cassie) Maish, Cory Maish and Billy Boyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins and his girlfriend, Melanie Cherewayko.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Elks Lodge 1599, International Falls, Minn.
