About 1,400 brook trout, measuring from six to nearly 10 inches, were released by the DNR last week with half being used to stock Lost River and other half going to Fawn Creek. The project is part of an effort to rejuvenate area trout streams. Local organizers were able to secure $10,000 in local contributions to leverage a $100,000 grant from the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council.
