Public Notice ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2019 Runway and Taxiway Reconstruction Phase 2 (Taxiway A) Falls International Airport International Falls, Minnesota FAA AIP No. 3-27-0043-32-19 MnDOT SP 3601-104 SEH No. INTER 147749 Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the Falls International Airport Commission until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the International Falls City Hall Council Chambers at 600 4th St., International Falls, MN 56649, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of 2018 Runway and Taxiway Reconstruction Phase 2 (Taxiway A). Major components of the Work include: bituminous pavement removal and replacement, excavation, grading crushed aggregate base, sawcut grooving, runway edge lighting, excavation and grading, and pavement marking Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH ) dated May 22, 2019. A pre-Bid conference will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the International Falls Airport Terminal Conference Room, 3214 2nd Avenue, International Falls, MN 56649. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with US Department of Labor and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Bids shall be directed to the Airport Secretary, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR 2019 Runway and Taxiway Reconstruction, Phase 2 (Taxiway A)."
