Public Notice Advertisement for Bids 2018 Runway 13/31 Reconstruction Phase 1 Falls International Airport International Falls, Minnesota FAA AIP No. 3-27-0043-31-18 MnDOT SP 3601-102 SEH No. INTER 146675 Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the Falls International Airport Commission until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the International Falls City Hall Council Chambers at 600 4th St., International Falls, MN 56649, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of 2018 Runway 13/31 reconstruction. Major components of the Work include: bituminous pavement removal and replacement, crushed aggregate base, sawcut grooving, runway edge lighting, excavation and grading, and pavement marking. Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH ) dated July 2018. A pre-Bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the International Falls City Hall Council Chambers at 600 4th St., International Falls, MN 56649. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with US Department of Labor and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Bids shall be directed to the City Administrator, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR 2018 RUNWAY 13/31 RECONSTRUCTION PHASE 1."
