Public Notice CITY OF LITTLEFORK, MINNESOTA WATER MAIN AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the water main and sanitary sewer improvements will be received, by the City of Littlefork, at the office of the City Clerk, until 6:30 p.m. local time on April 18, 2017, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing 9,000 cubic yards common excavation, 10,000 cubic yards Aggregate Base, Class 5, 9,000 tons bituminous paving, 1,200 feet of culverts, 300 feet storm sewer, 36 manholes, 10,000 square feet concrete sidewalk, 1,700 feet concrete curb and gutter, 6 acres seeding, 13,000 feet of water main, 7,000 feet sanitary sewer and related appurtenances for the Littlefork Water Main and Sanitary Sewer Improvements project. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Littlefork City Hall, Duluth Builders Exchange, 802 Garfield Avenue, Duluth, MN 55802; Hibbing Builders Exchange, 211 East Howard Street, Hibbing, MN 55746; and the Fargo-Moorhead, Bemidji Builders Exchange, 4101 Bemidji Avenue North, Bemidji, MN 56601; online at QuestCDN.com; and the office of the Engineer, JPJ Engineering, Inc., 425 Grant Street, P.O. Box 656, Hibbing, MN 55746. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, upon payment of a deposit of $100.00 for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to JPJ Engineering, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via UPS. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders responding to this solicitation document shall submit to the Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, Section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, in an amount not less than 5% (five percent) of the Total Bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and a Certificate of Insurance.
