Public Notice May 31, 2016 City Council Special Meeting Minutes 1:00 P.M. A special meeting of the City Council of the City of International Falls, Minnesota, was held to meet in closed session in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building on Tuesday, the 31st day of May, 2016 at the hour of 1:00 P.M. MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilors Jaksa, Kalar, Briggs, Droba and Mayor Bob Anderson. MEMBERS ABSENT: None. OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Shermoen and City Administrator Ken Anderson. Mayor Anderson called the special meeting to order at 1:08 P.M. Mayor Anderson announced that the City Council would proceed into a closed session for the purposes of conducting an investigation and preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against an individual subject to its authority pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05, subd. 2 (b) relating to allegations initially filed through the City Attorney. In the closed session the City Council received input, statements, and privately questioned twenty (20) persons on a separate, individual basis. One additional person provided written comment via e-mail sent after the meeting commenced to the City Administrator that was read to the City Council by the City Attorney. Persons meeting with the City Council included the following: Jim Robb, Brian McBride, Stacey Cann, Robert Thompson, Don Billig, John Bruggeman, Mike Rud, Steve Blair, Bill Larson, Greg Schneider, Tom Biondich, Jeff Klow, John Harris, Tom Worth, Tim McBride, Doug Dault, Dick Koeneman, David Farmer, Keith Amidon, and Debbie Dunn. Mayor Anderson adjourned the closed session at approximately 9:05 P.M. and reconvened the open session of the City Council special meeting. The City Council did not conclude that discipline of any nature was warranted as a result of the specific allegations. Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:05 P.M. Robert W.
