Public Notice MINUTE SUMMARY REGULAR MEETING OF THE KOOCHICHING COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015; 5:05 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Pavleck, McBride, Skoe, Ecklund, Adee The County Board approved the June 23rd meeting agenda; approved the minutes from the June 16, 2015 regular meeting; received notice on the hire of Gary Harms as part time Courtroom Bailiff; approved payment of the Courthouse claims in the amount of $80,813.06, Public Health claims in the amount of $9,285.39, Human Services administration and program claims as presented, Burial Case #1810155 in the amount of $809.06 and payment of the second half 2015 County Budget Allocations in the amount of $243,046.00. 000 The Veterans Service Officer presented a FY 2013-2014 Comparison Report with the County's veteran population and pension and benefit compensation paid to or for County veterans, showing an increase in both population and compensation from 2013 to 2014. 2015/06-33 Motion by Ecklund, seconded by Adee accepting the recommendation of the Health and Human Services Director to adopt the Koochiching County Emergency Temporary Shelter Plan as part of the County's Emergency Management System for providing needed shelter for county residents as a result of a disaster situation. Voting yes: Pavleck, McBride, Skoe, Ecklund, Adee. Motion carried. 2015/06-34 Motion by McBride, seconded by Skoe accepting the recommendation to close the home of Peggy Gordon for family day care at the provider's request. Voting yes: Pavleck, McBride, Skoe, Ecklund, Adee. Motion carried. 2015/06-35 Motion by Ecklund, seconded by Skoe accepting the recommendation of the County Assessor to grant abatement by agreement to H&G LLC, Parcel #92-004-00033, for taxes payable in 2014 and 2015. Voting yes: Pavleck, McBride, Skoe, Ecklund, Adee. Motion carried. 2015/06-36 Motion by Ecklund, seconded by McBride adopting a resolution seeking federal and state financial support for the Voyageurs National Park Clean Water Project. Voting yes: Pavleck, McBride, Skoe, Ecklund, Adee. Motion carried.
