Public Notice STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF KOOCHICHING IN DISTRICT COURT NINTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT In the Matter of a Hazardous House located at 319 14th Street, International Falls, Minnesota. Box 779 International Falls, MN 56649 Leinholder: Minnesota Housing Finance Agency 400 Sibley Street, Suite 300 St. Paul, MN 55101-1998 1. Pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Sections 463.15 to 463.261, the Council of the City of International Falls, having duly considered the matter, finds the building located at 319 14th Street, International Falls, Minnesota , legally described as Lots Thirty-eight (38), Thirty-nine (39), and Forty (40), Block Ten (10), Plat of Hadler's Addition to International Falls, Koochiching County, Minnesota, to be a hazardous building for the following reasons: (as example) a. Roof needs repair and chimney must be replaced; b. Foundation needs repair along with siding and windows; and c. Building is abandoned and no utilities currently provided. 2. Pursuant to the forgoing findings and in accordance with Minnesota Statues, Sections 463.15 to 463.261, the Council hereby orders: a. The record owner of the above hazardous building or her representative to repair such building in accordance with the Minnesota State Building Code within 45 days or to remove such building within 60 days of this Order. b. All personal property or fixtures shall be removed from the building within 60 days and if not so removed by the owner, the City of International Falls may remove and sell such property or fixtures at public auction or may destroy said property if it lacks appreciable value. 3. The Council further orders that unless such corrective action is taken or an answer is served upon the City of International Falls and filed in the office of the Administrator of District Court of Koochiching County , Minnesota , within 20 days from the date of service of this Order, a motion for summary enforcement shall be made to the District Court of Koochiching County, Ninth Judicial District. 4. The Council further orders that if the City is compelled to take any corrective action herein, all necessary costs expended by the City shall be assessed against the real estate concerned and collected in accordance with Minnesota Statues, Section 463.22. 5. The Mayor, City Administrator, City Attorney and other officers and employees of the City are authorized and directed to take such action, prepare, sign and serve such papers as are necessary to comply with this Order and to assess the costs thereof against the real estate described above for collection along with the taxes.
