Littlefork-Big Falls High School has released the 2014-15 second quarter honor roll.
The honor roll includes the following categories: The Principal’s List is for students who achieve a perfect “A” (4.0) average; the “A” Honor Roll is for those with an average between 3.7 and 3.99; and the “B” Honor Roll is for students achieving an average between 3.0 and 3.69.

Johnson named to LSC dean’s list
Wilson Johnson, of International Falls, was named to the Lake Superior College dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
To be recognized on the dean’s list, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: complete nine or more credits; complete 100 percent of their attempted credits; achieve a grade point average of at least 3.5; are in good academic standing.
Area students named to UMD dean’s list
The University of Minnesota Duluth has announced its dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
Students on the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
International Falls students include Tyler Bernard, Zachary J. Dahlin, Courtney Klow, Cory Netland, Jesse Skogstad, Joseph A. Toninato and Bailey F. Vollom.
Littlefork students are Allison Fairchild and Karli Little.
Bruess named to dean’s list
Morgan Bruess, a senior business administration major, was named to the dean’s list at Monmouth College for the fall 2014 semester.
To make the dean’s list, students needed to achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for the semester while carrying at least three credits.
She is the daughter of JoDean and Steven Bruess of International Falls.
Bernard named to dean’s list
Bailey Bernard, of International Falls, was named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at The College of St. Scholastica, Duluth.
Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale.
Bernard is majoring in nursing.
Students honored for scholastic achievement
International Falls students received honors from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, for attaining high grade point averages during the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
Kathleen E. Klow and Nicholas J. Riley were recognized with honors.
Full-time undergraduates who earned GPAs of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A) are given the highest honors designation. High honor citations go to those with grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89 and honor recognition is accorded to those with grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.
Tylyn Nault graduates from UW-Stevens Point
Tylyn Nault, of International Falls, received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, during 2014 winter commencement ceremonies.
Kostiuk named to honor roll
Colin Kostiuk was named to the “B” Honor Roll at St. Thomas School for the second quarter.
Area students named to VCC honors list
The following area students were named to the fall 2014 honors list at Vermilion Community College, Ely.
Students named to the honors list have attained a grade point average for the semester of 3.75 highest honors; 3.5 high honors; 3.0 honors.

Ecklund graduates from U of M Crookston
Jared Ecklund, International Falls, graduated during fall semester 2014 from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a bachelor of science in natural resources.
Loop graduates from College of St. Scholastica
Katie Loop graduated from The College of St. Scholastica Dec. 13 in a commencement ceremony at the Reif Gymnasium on campus.
Loop, of International Falls, graduated with a master of science in occupational therapy.
