The Koochiching County Board of Commissioners meeting set for Tuesday is canceled.
NHED PRESIDENTIAL FORUMS
Rainy River Community College will host the Northeast Higher Education District presidential community open forums Feb. 19 and 24 on campus. Schedule for the public open forum is: Candidate 1, 7:30-8:30 a.m., Feb. 19; Candidate 2, 7:30-8:30 a.m., Feb. 24; and Candidate 3, 3:45-4:45 p.m., Feb. 24.
CITIZENS FOR BACKUS/AB

QUILTERS GUILD

Speaker David Skwarok, Independent School District 361 information technology director, will talk on “What’s New at ISD 361” — What’s new for technology at ISD 361 this year and what’s ahead? False alarm: Firefighters checked the Falls Elementary School Wednesday afternoon when an alarm sounded. Department and school officials later said the false alarm may have been caused by equipment malfunction.

Collision: Vehicles driven by Ann. M. Nordstrom, 70, and Darlene C. Ditsch, 57, addresses unavailable, collided Tuesday at Eighth Avenue West and Third Street causing more than $1,000 damage to the vehicles.
Collision: Vehicles driven by David S. Correia, 51, Second Avenue West, and Sharon K. Reuter, 59, Kingsford, Mich., collided Feb. 8 at 10th Avenue West and Seventh Street causing more than $1,000 damage to the vehicles.
Collision: Vehicles driven by Billy D. Hell, 24, Town Road 200, and Micheal S. Revak, Ninth Street, collided at Borderland Auto, Second Avenue West and 22nd Street, causing more than $1,000 damage to the vehicles.
