The library will provide a variety of food items from spaghetti and other pasta to cheerios and sandwich cookies to carrots and hard candy. If you have an item you think you’ll need, we recommend bringing it as we can’t guarantee we’ll think of the same things as you.
The library has received all the tax forms it will be receiving this tax season. We have Minnesota income tax forms and the refund for homeowners and renters property tax refund. We have the federal 1040, 1040a and 1040ez forms. That is all that the federal government is distributing to libraries this year. We will not be receiving any instruction booklets or other forms.
The library printed one copy of each instruction booklet that may be used in the library. You may also visit irs.gov/orderforms to order tax products to be delivered by mail, visit irs.gov/forms to view and download forms, call 1-800-829-3676 to order tax products to be delivered by mail and if you have questions. The AARP volunteer tax aides are also available to help most people file their taxes online. They are located at the Backus Community Center in Rooms 208 and 209. Pet of the Week
Hi, my name is “Penelope.” I was found in a hardware store looking for food. The wonderful people tried to find my family, but didn’t have any luck. Lucky for me, they called the Borderland Humane Society and now I have a home. It will not be my permanent home, but for now it is home – warm, lots of love, food and water. I am a sweet girl who loves to snuggle and to be the center of attention. If possible, I would like for your world to revolve around me (in a good way). I depend on you, you depend on me to be a good listener and a lap warmer. — Sincerely, Penelope

In loving memory of our dear dad, Donald Harder, who passed away Feb. 20, 1993.
Down the path of memories.
We gently tread today;
Our loving thoughts are with you,
As life goes on its way.

Are something that we treasure;
It’s a way to keep you in our hearts,
And close to us forever.
