Arnold 'Arnie' Francis Baumchen, 76

Arnold “Arnie” Francis Baumchen, 76, of International Falls, Minn., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Littlefork Medical Center, Littlefork, Minn.

Arnie was born to Louis and Annette (Mecure) Baumchen on July 2, 1938, in International Falls.

Arnie grew up and graduated in International Falls where he remained a lifelong resident until recently moving to the Jack Pine Chateau in Littlefork.

Arnie worked as a produce manager at the National Tea grocery store and as an assistant manager at Piggly Wiggly and later at Super One.

Arnie was well known for being a musician in our local area. He was a board member of the Rural Fire Protection Association, was active in the local car club and if there was a card game going on somewhere he was usually there.

He loved to garden and spend time playing on his tractor.

Arnie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bernhard and Raymond Baumchen.

He is survived by sons, Darren (Robin) Baumchen and DeLane (Kristina) Baumchen, all of International Falls; daughter, Deanndra (David) Flaschberger of Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; brother, Henry Baumchen of Hibbing, Minn.; sister, Catherine Curtis; sister-in-law, Urilda Baumchen; and five grandchildren, Joshua Baumchen, Tyler Baumchen, Nicole Arn, Kristen Arn and Ryan Flaschberger.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Evangelical Covenant Church, International Falls.

Thomas Edward Gosselin

Thomas Edward Gosselin went to be home with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.

Tom was April 17, 1946, in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, to Sophie (Chowhan) and Leo Gosselin.

Tom lived in International Falls, Minn., until 1972 when he moved to Phoenix, Ariz., and more recently to Avondale, Ariz.

Tom is survived by Kay Sperry; son, Mark Nurse; daughters,Pam Nurse and Lianne (Rick) Graham; grandchildren, Colten and Madison; sister, Janet (Lanny) Gilbert; brother, Dick (Donna) Gosselin; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Wallace John Kucera Jr., 79

A memorial service with flag presentation for Wallace John Kucera Jr., age 79, who died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Green-Larsen Mortuary.

Officiating was Jim Kucera.

Honorary pallbearers were all his loving family and friends.
