Two International Falls players combined for 50 points Friday night when the Bronco boys basketball team opened the season with a 75-64 victory at Deer River.
“Overall, a pretty good first game,” said Falls head coach Derek Dowty.
Ben Humbert recorded a double-double for the Broncos by scoring 27 points and hauling in 15 rebounds, while Jack Bartkowski added 23 points and also recorded six rebounds and five blocked shots.
The Falls led 42-22 at halftime, then saw the Warriors narrow the lead to single digits, before the Broncos extended their advantage and won by 11 points.
