After taking a 1-0 lead Monday night on a power-play goal by Jakob Eide, the International Falls boys hockey team gave up five consecutive goals and ended up losing to Osseo, 7-3, to open the Hockeytown Holiday Classic in Warroad.
The Broncos picked up third-period goals from Clay Bergstrom and Jackson Vollom to cut the deficit to 5-3, then gave up a pair of goals scored by the Orioles' Ben Christofferson to close out the game.
Falls goalie Lane Skallman stopped 31 of 38 shots in a losing effort in net.
The loss dropped the Broncos' season record to 3-7 going into Tuesday night's tournament game against Grafton/Park River, N.D. The Falls closes out the tournament at 1 p.m. Wednesday against the host school, Warroad.
