Math can be fun
  • Updated

Math can be fun.

That’s the message that second graders at Indus School caught as they worked on making 3-D shapes, using marshmallows and toothpicks during a recent math lesson on shapes.

Students also looked at the number of vertices, edges and faces of the shapes and learned the names of the 3-D shapes, according to their teacher, Megan Johnson. Students also distinguished between three-dimensional and two-dimensional shapes, which were taught in a previous lesson.
