Alton Fuller

Alton Chester Fuller, 93, of International Falls, Minn., passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Bigfork Valley Communities, Bigfork, Minn.

Alton was born May 24, 1919, in Oaks Township, in Roseau County, Minn.

He was in the ETO U.S. Army in the medical battalion, serving in the Battle of the Bulge and receiving a certificate of merit for his bravery.

He worked as a papermaker at Boise Cascade.

He enjoyed mechanic work, carpentry, doing cat work, and in his later years he liked gardening and doing yard work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ethel Fuller; brothers, Bill, Donald and Clarence; sisters, Cleo, Esther, Beryl, Pearl and Ida; and granddaughter, Carie Woods.

Alton is survived by his sons, Albert of Minneapolis, Minn., Daryle of Joplin, Mo., and Keith of Florida; daughters, Linda Terrio of International Falls, Kathy (Gary) Woods of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Peggy (Rueben) White of International Falls; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, including Raven, who called him “GG”; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph of Oxnard, Calif.; and sisters, Ruby Norstebon of Roseau, Minn., Hazel Brown of New York Mills, Minn., and Lois Holcomb of Aurora, Minn.

Private family services will be conducted at a later date.

Interment will be at Roosevelt, Minn.
