Anne Vukelich

In late November 2012, Anne Vukelich died peacefully at Ridgeview Assisted Living in International Falls, Minn.

She was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Tolstoi, Manitoba, Canada.

Although Anne worked hard most of her life, she enjoyed cooking, embroidery, reading, and spending time with family.

She regularly practiced the cooking style her family brought from the Ukraine, her parents’ homeland.

With her sister, Elsie Kaminski, she encouraged family members to be proficient in the old world Ukrainian arts of embroidery and egg decorating.

Anne was spiritually inclined, attended church services regularly, and served with friends in the Tabernacle Society and Degree of Honor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Michael Haluschak; son and grandsons: Mickey Myhera, Ronnie, Timmy, and Bobby Myhera; husbands George Myhera and John Vukelich; brother and sister-in-law, William and Harriet Haluschak; and sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Jerome Kaminski.

Annie is survived by her son, Ronald John (Carol) Vukelich; grandson, Michael (Tiara) Myhera; great-granddaughter, Alena; and daughter-in-law, Henrietta Blaha.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be one hour prior to the 1 p.m. memorial Mass Saturday, Dec. 15 at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
