Bessie Ball

Bessie M. Ball (nee Farrer) passed away Jan. 22, 2012, in Kingston, Ontario.

Born and raised in Rainy River, Ontario, she resided in International Falls, Minn., for about 40 years before moving to Kingston in 1999.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Joseph E. Ball, born and raised in Fort Frances, Ontario; her parents, Eva and Ernest Farrer, and sisters, Mina Bell, Lorna Ronning and Hiram Farrer, all of Rainy River, Ontario.

Bessie is survived by her son, James (Roxayn) of Austin, Texas; daughter, Maureen Ball (Tom Williams) of Kingston, Ontario; son, Brian (SuzAnn) of Bemidji, Minn.; grandchildren, Lisa [Ball] (Bryan) Kent, Ryan Ball, Hilary Farson, Justin Ball and Aryn Ball; and great-grandchildren, Ciara and Camden Kent.

She will also be fondly remembered by Tom Williams’ children and their families.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a short graveside prayer and interment service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Forest Hill Cemetery, located on the south side of International Falls, just east of Highway 53 on Memorial Drive, followed by a reception and light lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ, 1001 Fifth St.
