Bill Barber, age 86, of Lakeville, Minn., formerly of Bloomington and Big Falls, Minn., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Bill, former Marine veteran of World War II, is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley; children, Tom (Martha), Cathy Cheng and Tim (Donna); seven grandchildren; brother, Dan (Karen); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is set for noon with Mass at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at St. Columban Catholic Church, Littlefork, Minn.
A luncheon will follow Mass.
Interment will be at the military cemetery in Big Falls, Minn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family or charity of donor’s choice.
Cremation Society of MN (952-924-4100) is in charge of arrangements.
