Carl Joseph Tye, age 59, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
Carl was born April 25, 1953, in Backus, Minn. The family moved to International Falls in 1955.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Jake) and Audrey Tye.
Carl is survived by brothers, Dick (Rita) and John (Diane); stepmother, Wilma Tye; stepsister Reva (Duane) Husby; nephews, niece, great-niece and great-nephews.
Carl was born with Down Syndrome; he persevered the obstacles he had in life.
He enjoyed music, dancing, riding bike, fishing, family, friends, neighbors and caregivers.
Special thank you to Carl’s caregivers at LSS Group Home and Occupational Development Center Inc. (ODC) in International Falls. Carl touched the hearts and lives of many.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Faith United Church of Christ, International Falls.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
A lunch will be served following the service.
Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Social Services or Occupational Development Center Inc. (ODC) in International Falls.
