Darlene June Andersen, 84, of International Falls, Minn., died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Rainy Lake Medical Center.
Darlene was born March 14, 1928, at her parents’ home at Pelland Junction, and was a lifelong resident of International Falls.
She married Myron “Bud” Ness on Feb. 15, 1944, in International Falls.
She was a busy homemaker, and enjoyed watching Christian programming and Bonanza on TV.
Darlene was a 34-year member of the First Assembly of God Church, and loved singing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Myrtle Pelland; husband, Myron; an infant daughter; son, Jerry Ness; brothers, George, Bud, Lauren and Vern; and sisters, Joy Pelland and Francis “Sis” Tilander.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Diane (Martin) Schell of International Falls, Minn.; four grandchildren, Bonnie (Jeff) McFarland, Tina (Toby) Kulesa, Lisa Wilber-Meyer and Sam Holms; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tadd, Tray, Trevor, Brianna, Rebecca, Jesse, and seven other great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Walls of International Falls, Marg Wick of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Alice Tilander of Littlefork, Minn.; and daughter-in-law, Wendy Ness of International Falls.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Dec. 20, at First Assembly of God Church, International Falls.
Interment will be at Ray Cemetery.
