David Neil Barg

David Neil Barg, 53, of International Falls, Minn., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minn.

David was born on Sept. 1, 1959 in International Falls to Lloyd and Donna (Anderson) Barg. He graduated from Falls High School with the class of 1977.

He attended Hibbing Community College and earned a degree in Auto Mechanics. He was a baptized and confirmed member of Zion Lutheran Church. He worked at various places of employment throughout his life. He moved to California and began work as a Journeyman Electrician, returning to Int’l Falls in November of 1999, and was employed at Northland Tackle.

Dave resided in his home with his two sons, Ryan and Matthew and was most recently an electrician with Fagen, Inc., International Falls.

David enjoyed time on Rainy Lake, fishing in the summer and ice fishing with family and friends. He was a talented guitar player and in prior years had been a member of several bands. He enjoyed time at the family farm in Littlefork, hunting and four-wheeling with his sons, family, and friends. His quick wit and enduring smile will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Rose Barg and Clarence and Evelyn Anderson; uncle Roger Anderson; aunt Jeanette Barg; and brother-in-law Abby Renollet.

David is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Donna Barg of Int’l Falls; sons, Ryan and Matthew Barg; sisters, Debra (Don) Taylor and Tami Renollet; nephews, Nathan Taylor and Reese Renollet; nieces, Shana (Mike) Guziec, and Reva Renollet, along with great nieces Hailey and Avery Hogan and great nephews Riley Hogan and Charley Guziec; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church.
