Diane Alena Boes, 57, of Big Falls, Minn., passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Bigfork Valley Hospital.
Diane was born June 12, 1955, at Bemidji Lutheran Hospital.
She grew up in Bemidji and Puposky, Minn., and Tolley, N.D., and attended Littlefork High School.
She moved to Big Falls in 1971.
The former Diane Alena Jorgensen married James Boes Jr. on May 3, 1975, at Big Falls Evangelical Covenant Church.
She was a homemaker, an avid reader, and wrote poetry and songs.
She loved her grandchildren very much.
Diane liked cats, and had a green thumb for house plants.
She had many, many friends, and attended Evangelical Covenant Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joann Alena Boes; dad, Clyde F. Jorgensen; two uncles, Herman Smith and Lumar Smith; two aunts, Luella Moe and Judith Smith; grandparents, Ole and Alice Smith; and mother-in-law, Delores Boes.
Diane is survived by her husband, Jim Boes Jr. of Big Falls; mother, Clara Jorgensen of Big Falls; sons, Danuel Boes and Bradley (Kelly) Boes; daughter, Melinda (Wallace) Teston; grandchildren, Angel Teston, Roxanne Teston, Kyley Boes, Braxton Boes, Emma Barg and Bentley Boes; brother, Clyde Jorgensen Jr.; aunts, Mary Preston, May Cross and Nina Beckman; uncles, Roger Smith and Leonard Smith; and numerous cousins.
Memorial services are planned for 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Big Falls Evangelical Covenant Church.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
