Donald A. Sullivan, age 70, of North Oaks, Minn., and Rio Verde, Ariz., died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at home surrounded by family.
He was born in International Falls, Minn., on Dec. 16, 1941.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie; son, Shawn (Sue) Sullivan; daughters, Lisa (Bruce) Burnside and Kimberly (Michael) Schwartz; grandchildren, Allison, Mackenzie, Shannon Sullivan and Andrea, Kristine and Nicholas Schwartz; brothers, William (Sandy) and Michael Sullivan; sisters, Rosie O’Neil, June O’Hea and Maureen (Dan) Kearney; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Don was an insurance agent for many years and owned a truck insurance agency, Truck Writers, Inc., in Blaine, Minn.
He was very active in all aspects of the transportation industry, a big supporter of the Minnesota Trucking Association and loved every minute serving his many clients/friends on a daily basis.
His passions were his children, five granddaughters and his grandson, his buddy.
Don’s generous spirit and laugh will be missed more than we can ever say.
Mass of Christian Burial is planned for noon Monday, July 9, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 N. Victoria, Shoreview.
Interment will be private.
Memorials are preferred to the ALS Association.
