Dorothy Mae Pearson, 91, of International Falls, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Littlefork Care Center.
Dorothy was born Oct. 27, 1920, in Sioux City, Iowa.
She moved to Many, La., in 1942, and moved to International Falls in the late 1940s.
Dorothy married Robert H. Pearson on June 2, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa.
She was a substitute teacher and taught English and music. Dorothy also taught piano lessons.
She was retired from Voyagers National Park, enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, and reading.
She played her piano every day, was a member of Faith United Church, and was a church organist for over 50 years.
Dorothy was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed bird-watching, especially humming birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Belle Luchsinger; husband, Robert Pearson; and brother, George Luchsinger.
Dorothy is survived by son, Robert Pearson of Chisholm, Minn.; daughters, Carole Lane of Centennial, Colo., Shirley (Paul) Gravett of Buda, Texas, and Betty (Bob) Ewald of International Falls; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Faith United Church.
Interment will be at the American Legion Cemetery.
