Earl Calvin Krueger

Earl Calvin Krueger, of International Falls, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Erskine, Minn., at Pioneer Memorial Care Center.

Earl was born in Raymond, Minn., on June 9, 1920, to Anna and Ed Krueger.

His siblings were Melvin Krueger, Louis Krueger and Lucille Phillips. All have preceded him in death.

He attended school in Roseau, Minn., and as a young man moved to International Falls.

He became employed by Mando Paper as a millwright. He continued to work until 1974, taking early retirement.

Earl was united in marriage to Leola Prevost on June 17, 1944, in Zion Lutheran Church, International Falls. She preceded him in death Aug. 2, 2007.

Earl was a member of Koochiching Masonic Lodge 270.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Earl and Leola would camp with their trailer through the summer months meeting and making new friends.

Surviving are sons, Dale (Nancy) Krueger of International Falls and Duane (Karen) Krueger of Comfrey, Minn. He will be missed by grandson Mike (Christine) Krueger of Fort Frances, Ontario, and great-granddaughters Lauren and Morgan, and granddaughter Linda (Joey) Kawulia of Fort Frances and great-grandson Wesley Davis. Also remembering him is grandson Norman (Andrea) Krueger of New Ulm, Minn., and great-grandchildren Reagan and Colin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Green-Larsen Mortuary, International Falls.

Walter Martin will officiate.

At Earl’s request, there will be no visitation.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
