Howard Milette

Howard Wilford Milette, age 83, died at his home Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012. He had Parkinson’s disease for many years. 

Howard was born Dec. 23, 1928, in International Falls to Henry and Ella Milette.

He attended Alexander Baker School, St. Thomas School, and graduated from Falls High School in 1946. He attended Virginia Junior College and St. Thomas University. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ella Milette; brother, Leonard (and wife Lois); and infant brother, Howard.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia of 64 years; son, Stuart (Cynde); daughters, Suzanne (Anne Dailey) and Sarah Hogue (Joe); grandchildren, Anthony Howard and Daniel Joseph; nephews, Don Milette (Jill), Robert Milette (Joan), Kent Milette (Susan), Scott Sathrum (Cara) and “favorite niece,” Michelle Gedney.

Howard was employed by Mando/Boise Cascade for 47 years. He retired in 1994 as product development manager.

He was active as a Red Cross First Aid Instructor and also facilitated emergency travel for local servicemen.

Howard led Boy Scout Troop 150 for 15 years and received the Silver Scout Award.

He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
