Ivy O. Grotberg, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Chris Jensen Home, Duluth, Minn.
She was born April 10, 1925, in Littlefork, Minn., to Adelbert and Mary Mason.
She married Gerhard Grotberg in 1943.
Ivy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerhard; sister, Irene Larson; brothers, Darrell, Don, and Dewey Mason; son-in-law, Bill Kiernan; and grandson, Bruce Kiernan.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Joan) Grotberg; daughters, Linda (Ernest) Sjol, Susan Kiernan and Rebecca (Rich) Schroeder; 11 grandkids; 34 great-grandkids; seven great-great-grandkids; sisters, Inez, Ilene, Iris, Mae and Jo; brother, Doug Mason; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Littlefork Lutheran Church, Littlefork.
