Jam session
A Veterans Honor Flight Jam Session took place Sept. 22 at VFW Post 2948, where a total of $2,223.55 was raised for local vets to travel to Washington, D.C. and tour the war memorials. Some of the musicians entertaining at the jam session included DeLane Baumchen, Breezy Peterson, Nick MacDougall, Ron Kilde, Kendra Schmidt, Bill Piekarski, Craig Schmidt, Marguerite Kostiuk, Lanny Johnson, Pat Porter and Larry Stringer. Chairpersons of the event were Kathy Sikkila, Koochiching County veterans service officer, and Terry Randolph, VFW Post 2948 commander.
