"Bear" Holler (1955-2012) passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Richmond, Va., following lengthy illness.
The former International Falls wrestling coach and standout athlete in wrestling and football was preceded in death by his father and mother, Don and Lorna; sister, Tammy; and nephew, Josh.
After graduating from Falls High School and Concordia College, Bear coached football and wrestling in Barnesville, Minn., before coming to the Falls as head wrestling coach.
In 1983 he joined his brother Don as a manufacturers representative in Virginia and continued to work in contractor sales for Lowe’s Home Centers until his death.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole; former wife, Nancy Sheridan; four brothers, Donald Jr. Tony, Dirk and Patrick; one sister, Mitzi Bakke; as well as 10 nephews and nieces.
To know “The Bear” was to love him and he was famous for his extravagant and lengthy summer pool parties.
He will be sadly missed by family, neighbors and friends.
