Jon “Joni” Valerie Fraik Niemi Larson, 61, of International Falls, Minn., died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at her home.
Joni was born May 8, 1951, in International Falls. She was a lifelong resident of the Falls.
Joni was known for her love of her grandchildren and her cats, spending time on her deck, hosting her family and friends, taking her boat to Mary Ann’s, her quiet love and concern for her five nephews and three nieces, and her trips to the casino with girlfriends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jeff; son, Jim; mother, Anna Mae and father, John; sisters, Josephine and Cathy; aunt, Mary Woods; and other family members and friends.
Joni is survived by her husband, Tim Larson; stepson, Tim (Lisa) and grandchildren, Christian and Miranda; stepdaughter, Stacey and granddaughter, Gabby; granddaughters, Bobbi Jo, Jamie, Anna Mae and Carli; two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; brother, George (Sue); stepbrothers, Pat, Mike and Rich; sisters, Mona (Greg), Susie and Kristen; stepsisters, Robin (John) and Jamie; and one aunt, Josephine Vivian.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date in September.
