Joseph C. Majerus, 90, of International Falls, Minn.,, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 13, 2013, at Littlefork Care Center, Littlefork, Minn.
Joseph was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Gully, Minn.
Joseph served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946.
He worked at Boise Cascade from 1946 until his retirement in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Charles Majerus; brothers; sisters; his wife, Cecilia; and sons, Charles, James and Michael.
Joseph is survived by his sons, John, Edward and LeRoy of International Falls; daughters, Margie Chavez of El Paso, Texas, Ann Stevens of Littlefork, and Rose Doty of Osceola, Wis.; one granddaughter; four grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
We would like to thank all of the nursing staff at the Littlefork Care Center, and all those who became his friend while he was there.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m.Wednesday, March 20, at First Lutheran Church.
Interment will be at Ericsburg Cemetery at a later date.
