Joyce Marble

Joyce Bernice Marble, 55, of Ray, Minn., passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, Minn.

Joyce was born July 28, 1956, in Duluth, to Tovio and Bernice Ahlbeck

She grew up and went to elementary school in Finland. She attended high school in Silver Bay, Minn.. As a teenager, she worked at resorts in the area.

Joyce married Kevin Marble, her husband of 32 years, on July 28, 1980, in Sisseton, S.D.

In 1986, she went to work at Falls Good Samaritan Center, a job that she loved. She loved caring for elderly people and they loved her. She also enjoyed working with her special friend, Wanda, and all the other great gals at the center.

Joyce was selected as Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year by the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in 2008, receiving her award in Sioux Falls.

Joyce was also a great blueberry picker, keeping our freezers full.  

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin; and her mother and father. 

Joyce is survived by her husband, Kevin Marble; son, Clayton (Tammy); one granddaughter, Ashley; three grandsons, Jake, Brady and Kian; three brothers, Billy, Leslie (Crystal) and Richie (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, a Ray Northwoods Bible Church.

Interment will be at Lyman Cemetery, Ray.
