Larry Dean Larson, 66 passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12 in Good Samaritan Society, International Falls.
Larry was born in Albert Lea, Minn. to Ruth and Lloyd Larson in 1944. He grew up in Frost, Minn. and moved to International Falls, Minn. in 1964.
Larry worked in the lab at Falls Memorial Hospital for 45 years until his retirement in 2009. He was a member and past Master of the Koochiching Masonic Lodge. Larry married Carol Vold on July 3, 1965 and they had three children; Brad, Lori and Chad.
Larry enjoyed hunting, spear fishing, gardening, woodworking and spending time at his shack in the Greaney area.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Lloyd Larson of Mankato, Minn. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol; sons Brad (Tina) Larson and Chad (friend Felicia Ellison) Larson, both of International Falls; daughter Lori (Mark) Caron of Fort Frances, Canada; grandchildren Samantha Hiebert, Adam and Shania Larson; Thomas and Amanda Caron, and Avery Larson; brothers Ronald (Kelly) Larson of Eau Claire, Wis., Glen (Anne) Larson of Rochester, Minn.; sisters Joanne Babcock of Mankato, Minn., and Anna Mae (Wayne) Maas of Medford, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20 at First Lutheran Church in International Falls.
Services are entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota.
