Laurie Ann Rostie died Monday, July 2, 2012, in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
She was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Littlefork, Minn.
Laurie graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in education and received her master’s degree from Lesley University.
She moved to the Denver, Colo., area in 1970 and had lived there for most of the next 42 years.
She was an elementary teacher for the Jefferson County school system until 1996. In 1997, she moved to Prior Lake, Minn., for three years where she married her current husband, Ralph Rostie.
Laurie is survived by her husband of 14 years, Ralph Rostie of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; sisters, Ancy Morse of Rochester, Minn., and Sandra Tone of Seattle, Wash.; her son, Eric Wasson of Denver, Colo.; as well as two nephews and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther L. and Aad A. Tone.
Services are planned for noon Saturday, July 28, at St. Paul’s Community Church, 8001 W. 23rd Ave., Lakewood, CO 80214.
