Lenore 'Nell' Klow

Lenore "Nell" Marie Klow, 87, of Ranier, Minn., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospice, Duluth, Minn.

Nell was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Meding Township (Ray), Koochiching County, Minn.

She married John C. Klow at St. Thomas Rectory, Dec. 18, 1948.

Nell enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandma, spending time at the cabin in Northwest Bay and the shack at Kabetogama.

She enjoyed quilting, fishing and holding babies. She was auntie or grandma to everybody.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ervin and Elizabeth Bradley; infant daughter; sister, Lorraine Mitchell; sisters and brothers-in-law, John and Josephine Ayers, Billy and Florence Ficke, Jack Strain and Harlan and Dorothy Johnson.

Nell is survived by her husband, John C. Klow; sons, John B. (Susan) Klow, Jerry Klow (Holly Holler), Jim (Jan) Klow and Jeff Klow; daughters, Joanie (Bill) Wyatt, Janine Klow (Tom Walter) and Josie (Reid) Toninato; grandchildren, John D. Klow (fiancée Kearstin Richter), Jessica Klow, Justin Klow, Julie (Sean) Love, Jeff Wyatt (fiancée Dara Pagano), Jenny (Kerry) Jungmann, Mike (Ponchie) Wyatt, Jeanna Toninato, Joseph Toninato, Courtney Klow, Jake Klow, Jeffrey Klow, Kathleen Klow and Karin Klow; great-granddaughter, Anika Love; and many, many very special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Green-Larsen Mortuary.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Green-Larsen Mortuary.
